In this seven-color silkscreen print for Parkett, Hito Steyerl visually explores fragments of Gosprom, the most spacious single building in the world, when it was completed in 1928 in the then Ukrainian capital.
In her texts, performances and essayist documentary films, Hito Steyerl deals with postcolonial criticism and feminist criticism of representational logic. Her research focuses on media, technology and the distribution of images. She works at the intersections of visual art and film as well as theory and practice.
